Doing my best

I have recently been ignoring God and letting myself go with the flow of life. I have been finding myself frustrated with a multitude of things that I want to change and do. I have been trying to live a Christ centred life without Christ.... I have been letting myself fall into the lies of the world and of the devil and I haven't been trusting in God at all. Needless to say , i am done. I am done conforming  to the world. I am done trying  to be socially acceptable. A few minutes ago I just finished watching a sermon by Francis Chan called Giving God my best. It was the kick in the pants that I have been needing to hear. He talked about how we go to church and pray before bed and think God is in heaven saying oh what an angel. We think that if we just take an hour or so a week to go to church and worship when we feel inclined then we are all good. But doesn't God deserve our best. The whole time he was speaking I couldn't stop thinking how much I want to give God my best. How much I thirst to be in a close and deep relationship with the creator of everything. I started to think about what was stopping me and realized that I am lazy and I am so afraid of falling and beomeing an outcast, but this should't matter. Everyday I should get up and be thankful that I am breathing. I have decided to stop conforming to the world and become who I am made to be in Christ. My first step is a kind of fast i suppose. I spend a lot of my time watching movies and TV. I am no longer going to be watching any TV instead I am going to use that time to be in relation with God and praying, worshiping and diving into His word. I am excited and terrified at the same time. I am ready to know what its like to be a true disciple but I am also scared about being taken out of my comfort zone. I am ready for God to take my life wherever he pleases. I am ready to let the world around me, see me for who I truly am in Christ. Its a tough journey, but I am ready. I encourage you not to get stuck in a rut and dig yourself deep. Realize who we praise and who created us and begin to serve Him every second of everyday. I am only here because He willed me to be, so I am going to give God my best.  Prayer would most definitly be appreciated.

Revolution of the Rare

In James 4:13-15 it talks about living your life the way that God intended, it says “if it fits the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.” This is not an easy thing to grasp or even understand. In our society with all it’s judgment and so called views on life it’s extremely hard to live this out. We are going to address what God has intended for us and how we can begin to revolutionize our world that so greatly needs God.

We are born into this world simply because God intended for us to do something, weather it be change the world or just impact one single person. We go to school for twelve or so years, so we can go into even more school in order to get a good job to sustain ourselves. This is an ongoing circle all around the world and this is how “it should be” according to the world. I beg to differ, God did not intend for us to go through this boring lifeless circle; school,work,kids,money. My question here is, is this how God intended for us to live our short lives? It is clear already that my answer is no. The creator of the heavens and the earth made me to spread His word and transform lives and i am just expected to go through the “motions” of life. This is not going well with me and I am absolutely positive that I am not the only one who feels this way.  

In our society there are so many people who hate their jobs and are just completely miserable and yet they have everything, money, a house ,food,clothing; all the luxuries of life. If we are rich in all these things then why are there so many unhappy people out there. I could list quite a few reasons, but the biggest reason is simply that we are missing something. What is that something, well it is Jesus Christ our savior and father. The world needs God and the only way that the world will see God is if we allow ourselves to open our hearts,minds,eyes and ears and fully dive into a life for God, with God and do as He made you to do.

There are a lot of stories that go around about the experiences people had who have gone on a missions trips. The most common thing people says is:

“Theses people they had nothing and yet they were the happiest people I have ever met.”

This all by itself should make us stop sipping our morning coffee and make us ponder why this is. We have money and all the things a person could want; they have nothing at all except faith and they are the happiest people out there. How has this not changed the world already. We have become so lazy and self centered and our hearts have become hardened by the things of the world; but we still expect the world to change all on its own. We need to stop waiting for someone else to take the stand and go all in and show the world what living actually means. We need a revolution, a revolution of rare living. What is rare living, the definition of rare is coming or occurring far apart in time, unusual,uncommon. There are a handful of people who live their lives this way and they are often given the title “jesus freaks” or “crazy people.” In all honesty it would be a privilege to be called a “Jesus freak.” As christians we should be set apart, people should see a difference in us and question why we are the way we are. A rare way of living is having complete faith and confidence in God and not allowing the the fear of the world to  get to us. When I say rare i mean a life that isn’t just what the world says life is: work ,sleep school etc. A rare life is an adventure with the one and only Jesus Christ, not being stuck or comfortable somewhere doing the same thing. A life of living out your God given passions and being who you know God made you to be; and not hiding behind “masks” and “walls”. Being free and full of the Holy Spirit and not afraid of the world. Living every day fully and not holding back on your callings.

It is easier said than done most people would say, but not me. This statement is often said because it makes us feel comfortable and not so bad about leaving it for another day. We need to stop being so comfortable and realize that our world is slowly crumbling and the only to fix this is become the disciples that God made and let Him use us in ways that no one could ever explain or understand. We need to start being missionaries exactly where we are, yes we need people over in Africa but we also need people here in the places that have wealth and stability. Just because we have riches doesn’t mean we are rich, we are poor in love and God and need this to be shown through our actions  so we can slowly change the world. We need to be rooted in Christ and stop waiting for the world to change. If we all decide to stop living the common life we will understand how God intended for us to live and with that we can transform our world.

The world needs help, it is full of so many views and ideas that don't fill the hole in out hearts.We need to partner with God to show the world who Christ truly is. Instead of giving God small parts of your life make Him your life and you will realize how different life is. Are you living the life God planned for you? Are you happy living in this world we have created? Start now and stop waiting for someone else to stand out. Live a rare life, a life of God.

It's Your breath in our lungs

      I was an LIT this summer at Ness Lake Bible Camp. I have gone there every summer since grade 3. I have met so many amazing people there and this summer I learned so much about God and relationships. As I have posted before I am so frustrated with the world. The constant lies that are being fed to us through media and social sites etc. When you are at camp there is such a strong sense of God and community and just love for everyone. There are no walls there. I have always been afraid. Afraid of judgment,failure,looking crazy,being bold, being courageous ,fear that I am just a 17 year old girl. How can I make a difference in this world, that drives me mental. Through this summer and just recenty I have been able to drop my fears I have also been able  to trust God.

     

       The last few weeks of camp I was exhausted and wanted to go home everyday. Instead of giving up I stopped and realzied that i had not been trusting in Gods plans and works. I remeber I prayednot exactly   sure what but ever since I have just felt so safe and so ready for everyday. Ready to do as God has planned and called me to do. I am finally free of fear. I can't even begin to tell you how amzing this feeling is. Just writing about it is making me smile with such enthusiasm. I have finally given up fear, given up my idea of what my life should be and I have made God my life. It's the best decision I have ever made. Everyday here in this town I see God working big and small. I find opperunities everydayto serve  and glorify Him. I remeber last year in grade 11 I fond myself asking "where the heck is God, I wanna do your works but theres nothing to do here" Boy was I wrong! Through all of this dropping my fears I can finally see what I am here for. I've always wanted to travel but God wants me here right where I am. He has so many plans for this year and I am stoked and a little sacred but who wouldn't be. I am not afraid to stand out anymore. I don't care if poeple think i am a crazy jesus freak. Thats aweosme! If people think that then I must be doing something right. Fear is something that everyone has and I encourage you to give it to God because He wants to use you to move mountains big or small. 

       There are bad days I have and there are also amazing days. I am finding myself still tnankful on both kind of days. I am so thankful for all the blessings I have in my life. I find myself stopping on bad days when i am so angrey or upset and I will stop and think man I am so blessed or I wil find myself grabing  my bible or just praying. I am just starting in this life of God. God is my life and I so excited to see where on earth he is going to take me. Don't let the world stop you from doing what God has planned for you. It may be rough it may be hard but it is the BEST thing in the world. 

Gods put something in you,

it may be passion to change the world or passion to help the poor,

it doesn't matter how big or small ,your passioinate for a reason. 

Gods given you every tool you need and no you won't feel ready.

Infact you will feel like the least qualified person in the world! 

That doesn't matter because  God doesn't call the qualified,

He qualifies the called. 

Give God your fears of the world and he will give you the world. 

We are here to change the word and restore Gods kingdom!

Let this restoration begin :)

World

I am so frustrated with our world. We are worried about the next car or what clothes to buy. We drink and eat all the time and say we are "starving" when really we don't even know what the word means. We say oh I don't have "time" for  God i have school and work etc. Or we just ignore everything that's important like God and school and family and say oh what can I do for me. Are we seriously that blind? Do we seriously not see how ridiculous we are and how we live with shutters on our eyes. God is the one who wakes you up in the morning. God is the one who provides your water, food, family and friends. God gives you love and grace and mercy and kindness and eternal life. God gives you every single little thing that you have and have ever had! When you say I don't have time for God you are saying oh ya the guy that created me i think i will talk to him later. In my french class we read and article about a professor and he said that every year he would tell his students that if he wanted to pass the coarse they had to work hard and plan out your study and work ethics. He said even though i say this some students don't believe me. At the end of the coarse he would get emails about how they are freaking out  because they didn't get there work done. They waited and time flew by and they failed the coarse. He said it's like this with God. We go through day by day saying oh i will read my bible tomorrow or i will go to church next week or i will pray tomorrow and before we know it it's too late and our lives our gone. I know for a fact that we don't realize how precious our lives are. every second every minute should be spent for God. God should be our life. I know that everyone is human. I do it all the time I completely forget God is there or I  choose to ignore it and do what I want to do.  I have stared to see everywhere little things and i keep getting the same message. Life is short and we need to spend it glorifying God. He is sending me a message to STOP waiting for the next opportunity stop waiting to be accepted or for someone else to start it (whatever it maybe) and be bold like I made you! Go out and let me guide your life. I am getting this everyday and I can't take it any longer. Our world needs to change my city needs to change and my school needs to change. I am not going to sit and watch my life rush by. I am going to try my best and use my life to glorify God and just give Him my life. I honestly know that I am here do something important hey we ALL are here for Gods plan which is so  important. Our lives are just a flash in time and I think it would be amazing if we stood up and did as God wants us to do. Be bold be out there or be behind the scenes. Wherever you see or feel God wants you GO FOR IT! Whats stopping you? I know. Fear is stopping you. Well you know what DON'T LET IT. If you give God your life and let Him direct your life and you just fall into his arms that fear will VANISH. You will be free and be able to fly and soar for God. Guys if you look at our world it seriously needs help. We need change we need to stop all these horrible things that happen in other countries and things that happen under our noses. It may take years or decades but I don't care it needs to be done. Let's stop sitting around like couch potatoes and DO SOMETHING. We have so many resources. We can share things around the world in a second with our technology. Log off of Facebook and do something productive. Our generation has a voice and if we SPEAK UP. we WILL be heard I know that for a fact. Come on guys our world is so broken and it needs God. Our world needs to be reminded what love truly is and means. We are here. We are now, We are the voice of the future. We are the people of God. Let's not watch our world crumble. God needs us. And we need Him more.

Give God your life and put NO LIMITS on your life!!!!

 

Everyday we wake up and usually are worried about what the day brings or what WE are going to do. Not realizing that we could change someones life today. You know we keep to ourselves worrying that we might offend or weird someone out if we talk about God to them. But in all truth you probably will spark something in them or even give them exactly what they needed to hear! I was just at camp this past week and i got some good information and ideas and i am so excited to take my life and turn it ALL to God. I am so tired of living my life for me. I want peace with God. I want true joy from God :) I have some questions from the camp that i am going to answer and maybe it will inspire someone.

What are the most important thinngs in my life?
The most important things in my life are my family. Also my piano and i do put basketball high above alot of other things in my life that i probably shouldn't.

What type of person do i want to be?
I want to be a bold christian. I want to live my life jsut for God and everyday tell people about Him. I want to be a walking example of who God is and I jsut want to change the world for God.

What words best describe me?

• Competative
• funny
• kind
• sweet
• loveing
• grumpy (easily made grumpy)

Am i living a life that reflects what i really feel is important?
Well long story short NO i am no.

Now these are just some of the questions and i want to change that last one. I want my life to reflect God and his love,joy,peace,patience and grace. I want people to see that there is something different about me. I want to be Gods light for people who are in the dark. I would appreciate prayer :) That would be so wonderful if you could pray for me as i go on this journey with and for God.  I just hope that if anybody who reads this feels even the tiniest bit the same way. That you wouldn't let is pass by but that you would decide to Change your life and just give God you life with NO limit!

I honestly don't understand....

     You know I really have a hard time with our society. We go to church or we go to a christian school like I do. But still we don't truly act like children of God, we still act like.... I don't even know what the word is. You know when you get those signs or words from God telling you to go talk to someone or say something or speak up about something. Most of the time we don't.... WHY NOT. God gives us those things for a REASON. That could save someones life. That could bring someone to Christ. Come on people let's be children of God. Let's not conform to our society. Who cares what other people think or say or do. We are living for GOD!!!!!!!I encourage you that next time God puts you out of your comfort zone.. DO IT :)

Realization of who our God is.

Good morning folks,

  Man is God ever COOL! For the past couple months I've been so bored of going with the flow and being you know normal.  So this past Friday in c.p we watched some videos and man wow they were so amazing and they madee think a little bit about my life. Then our teacher spoke and it made me think a little more. Then miracle spoke and make me Think a lot. But then last night I went to thrive and you know just worship like everyone else and listened. When this last guy came to speak he just hit home. He helped me to realize who God is and who I'm worshiping. For the rest of the night my arms were high in the air with my voice loud just falling in love. Don't forget who God is and realize how much he did for you. God gives me such joy 😊 

And I am living for Him fully 😀
